Transportation is provided for children attending non-public schools no more than 15 miles from the child’s home driveway to the school driveway. April 1 is the deadline to file requests for non-public school bus transportation for the school year starting that September. New request forms must be filed every year.

New families must file such requests within 30 days of moving into the district. New families also need to register within the district by calling the Registrar at 585-242-5200 Ext. 5580. Transportation arrangements for requests submitted after April 1 will be made as soon after the start of school as possible and only if transportation can be provided at no additional cost to the district.

Changes for the 2023-24 School Year  

Brighton will start busing to non public schools that start in August beginning on August 28th.

Brighton will not be providing transportation as follows: September 4 (Labor Day), October 9 (Indigenous People Recognized/Columbus Day), November 10 (Veterans Day), November 22, 23 (Thanksgiving) and 24, December 25 & 26 (Christmas), January 1 (New Year's Day), January 15 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day), February 19 (President's Day) and May 27 (Memorial Day) and June 19 (Juneteenth).

Transportation will be provided for private, parochial, and charter school students on other days that Brighton schools are not in session, such as Spring Recess and Superintendent’s Conference Day. Click here to view the 2023-24 Brighton School Calendar.

INFORMATION FOR 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR:

A ParentSquare notification was sent on Monday 3/4 requesting updated transportation information for the 2024-2025 school year.  Here is a link to the form:

We need the forms returned to us by April 1.  If we do not receive a form, your child will not have transportation set up. 

Please return a form to us EVEN IF YOU DO NOT NEED TRANSPORTATION.   We will be able to route more efficiently and get students to school and home from school more quickly if we have the most accurate information.
